Next REVIC meeting: 26 May 2009

Phew!  We're already approaching half way through the year!  REVIC's May meeting is coming up shortly!  Please note the new starting time of 5.15pm for 5.30pm start.

At this meeting:

• We will introduce you to some great Revit plug-ins and extensions that help maximise your productivity.  Among them will be:
  • Ideate Explorer (powerful search and filter tool, enabling faster task completion)
  • BIMreview 1.0 (validates the accuracy and consistency of building information models against project, firm, national or user-defined standards)
  • Revit Extensions (for Revit Architecture), including Grid Generator, Freeze Drawings, Compare Models, Text Generator, Elements Positioning, and Excel-based Model Generation
  • Avatech Revit Utilities (Room Renumber, Change Case, Door Mark Update, Revit City Content Browser, Earth Connector, Space Update)
  • Batch Print (Autodesk Extension)
  • Revit Extensions (for Revit Structure), including Content Generator, Steel Connections and many others!
• We will have a segment dedicated to your favourite Revit Tips!  So make sure you bring some to share.  You are welcome to demonstrate your tips yourselves, or to have them demonstrated by someone else.  This will only be as good as what you put into it, so come prepared!  If you wish to submit any prior to the meeting, please do so here.
• We will also serve refreshments at the conclusion of the meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For those of you who have NOT YET RENEWED your memberships for 2009, please do so ASAP via the REVIC website, prior to the meeting.  You can sign up and pay online (via Paypal).  If you prefer, you can pay via EFT, or by cheques on the night (as you enter) - however, we would encourage you to come a little early if this is the case, to avoid a late start!  This is the last meeting that you can attend without reconciling your 2009 membership.
